Description The Chef de Partie will assist in supervising and training the kitchen brigade, overseeing the preparation, cooking, and service of food across all sections of the kitchen.
Responsibilities include :
Planning and coordinating daily work routines in line with operational menus.
Ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas.
Producing food in the required quantity and quality, and ensuring timely service.
Managing staff attendance, breaks, and ensuring adequate coverage.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards consistently.
Monitoring kitchen security.
Supervising food preparation, cooking, and service according to established procedures.
Formulating standardized recipes for all dishes and menu items.
Checking the quality and presentation of all dishes before service.
Allocating tasks effectively to staff.
Ensuring all orders are completed as required.
Operating equipment safely and reporting any defects or hazards.
Supervising and assisting cooks to ensure smooth operations.
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
Assisting with staff scheduling and ensuring compliance with work schedules.
Promoting good personal hygiene among staff.
Following safety procedures to ensure kitchen safety.
Controlling food costs by minimizing wastage and maintaining portion control.
Performing any additional duties as assigned.
Assisting in preparing dishes for special functions such as symposia and events.
Maintaining personal hygiene and proper uniform dress code at all times, including in the kitchen area.
