The Director of D&T Strategy & Governance is responsible for defining and driving the university-wide digital and technology strategy, ensuring its alignment with RUA’s academic, cultural, and operational goals. The role oversees governance frameworks, enterprise architecture, and innovation initiatives, ensuring that all D&T investments deliver measurable value. This position provides leadership for strategic planning, risk and compliance management, and fosters a culture of innovation that enables RUA to become a leading digitally-enabled cultural university. Responsibilities
Strategy Leadership : Develop, maintain, and execute RUA’s D&T strategy, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term goals. Governance & Compliance : Establish and enforce governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring across all D&T domains. Enterprise Architecture Oversight : Define and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints, ensuring technology alignment across academic, research, cultural, and administrative layers. Innovation & Value Realization : Promote digital innovation, identify emerging technologies, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable value to education, research, and culture. Stakeholder Engagement : Act as the primary D&T liaison with university leadership, regulatory bodies, and external partners, building strong collaborations to advance institutional objectives. Performance Management : Oversee reporting on D&T KPIs, risks, and benefits realization, ensuring transparency and accountability in decision-making. Qualifications
10+ years of senior experience in digital strategy, IT governance, or enterprise architecture Proven expertise in designing and implementing IT / digital strategies at institutional level Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001) Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder digital initiatives Advanced communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Experience in higher education or cultural institutions preferred Skillset
