Senior Solution Architect - ITS, GSI & ITS Vertical

Overview

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) focuses on driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small-, mid-, and enterprise-level accounts, including public sector customers. AWS Solutions Architects are trusted advisors who help customers solve large business challenges by designing scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions.

Working with internal AWS teams, you’ll identify customer opportunities and help improve our services to obsess over customer needs. You’ll create and present content to help customers scale and grow using AWS as a building block, and you’ll push technology boundaries to help Emerging companies across various Verticals in India scale and achieve measurable growth. You’ll encourage customers to dream bigger and deliver beyond what they think is possible, while adapting quickly to evolving customer needs.

Key job responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate business outcomes and recommend best-practice cloud architectures aligned with long-term business needs.
• Drive technical solutions discussions, dive into details to solve complex problems, and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
• Scope and own customer engagements with clear objectives and success criteria.
• Work backwards from customer business needs to accelerate adoption of the most appropriate AWS technology.
• Define and execute strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS Professional Services consultants, and consulting / managed services partners).
• Act as a thought leader by educating others, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers / blogs, and running workshops.
• Represent the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services; collaborate to evolve the AWS platform.
• Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, influencing decision makers across domains to ensure customer success.

A day in the life

Solutions Architects are experienced technologists with breadth and depth, complemented by strong interpersonal skills. You’ll work with a diverse set of SMB customers across industries, including FSI, Retail, IT & ITeS, and Media & Entertainment, designing cloud-based architectures. As the trusted advisor, you’ll challenge customers to think differently and build elegant, transformative solutions.

As a Senior Solutions Architect you’ll own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, advising on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. You’ll understand customer business needs and provide prescriptive guidance on creating business value with technology, collaborating with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.
