TPE VI / Consultant Piping Engineer – Wood
We are seeking an experienced piping engineer to join our project in Al- Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Candidates must be proficient in piping design, material selection, and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on Saudi Aramco standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultancy on piping design, material specifications, and selection strategies.
- Review and validate designs, drawings, specifications, and other engineering deliverables for compliance and optimization.
- Prepare and review valve datasheets, plot plans, piping plans, isometric drawings, hydrotest diagrams, tie‑in indexes, and material take‑off (MTO).
- Perform and verify pipe wall thickness calculations, hot‑tap calculations, and ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.
- Establish and endorse detailed designs and performance specifications to meet project and client requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance on engineering steps, ensuring alignment with best practices and project objectives.
- Facilitate coordination between disciplines and resolve complex interface issues.
- Offer technical oversight for procurement activities, including MR preparation, vendor document review, and technical bid evaluations.
- Lead and contribute to design reviews, HAZOP sessions, and constructability assessments.
- Respond to high‑level technical queries (TQs) from clients, vendors, and construction teams with authoritative solutions.
- Deliver technical input for proposals, feasibility studies, and client presentations.
- Ensure full compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, company specifications, and international codes (ASME, API, ISO).
- Validate all engineering deliverables against project and regulatory requirements.
- Apply advanced stress analysis expertise, review flexibility checks, and endorse critical decisions.
- Maintain broad discipline knowledge while providing specialized consultancy in key areas.
- Utilize advanced engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., S3D / E3D, Caesar II).
- Mentor senior engineers and guide technical teams on complex challenges.
- Promote collaboration and provide strategic problem‑solving for unique project issues.
- Recommend alternative solutions, assess risks, and advise on cost and schedule impacts.
- Exercise professional judgment in adapting and improving standard methods and procedures.
- Ensure deliverables meet cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
- Provide high‑level reporting and advisory on progress, risks, and technical compliance.
Qualifications
Saudi PreferredBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (master’s preferred).Minimum 20+ years in piping engineering for oil & gas projects, including FEED and detail design phases.Mandatory membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).Strong knowledge of international codes and Saudi Aramco specifications.What we can offer
