Key Responsibilities
Administrative and Technical Supervision
Manage and oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Assign tasks to laboratory staff and monitor workflow and performance.
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
Quality and Accreditation Management
Implement and maintain compliance with ISO / IEC 17025 requirements.
Review and update laboratory procedures, test methods, and quality manuals.
Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Sample Testing and Result Verification
Supervise chemical and microbiological testing according to approved standards and methods.
Review and approve test results prior to release.
Investigate non-conformities and develop corrective measures.
Food Safety Compliance
Ensure laboratory operations comply with food safety standards and hygiene requirements.
Participate in internal and external food safety audits and inspections.
Train staff on good laboratory practices and food safety principles.
Training and Development
Develop the technical skills of laboratory personnel through training and mentoring.
Introduce new analytical techniques to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare and submit periodic technical reports to senior management.
Coordinate with other departments (Quality, Production, Procurement) to support overall food safety objectives.
Skills
Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology), Agriculture, or Pharmacy
Previous work experience in a multinational FMCG company
Proven experience in food safety auditing and quality assurance systems
Familiarity with supplier development programs
