The Foresight Consultant is responsible for identifying emerging trends, analyzing future scenarios, and supporting long-term strategic planning. This role helps organizations anticipate potential challenges and opportunities, build future-readiness, and shape proactive strategies. The consultant works with senior leadership to embed foresight thinking into organizational planning and policy development. Key Responsibilities :
Conduct research and analysis on global and local future trends, technologies, and innovations. Develop foresight reports, future scenarios, and trend impact assessments. Support strategic planning by integrating foresight insights into long-term strategies. Facilitate workshops and sessions on future thinking and scenario planning. Advise leadership on potential risks, opportunities, and implications of future developments. Collaborate with departments to embed foresight in policy and program design. Monitor signals of change and emerging issues affecting the organization or sector. Build internal awareness and capabilities in foresight methodologies and tools. Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in foresight and developing future scenarios for municipal or government entities. Strong expertise in strategic planning, analysis, and development.
