Senior Managing Consultant, Cybersecurity Business Development Lead – Mastercard has evolved into a comprehensive technology and services platform. These additions enable Mastercard to offer advanced cyber risk assessment and real-time threat detection, helping clients safeguard their entire digital footprint—not just the payments themselves.
About the Role – The Senior Managing Consultant, Cybersecurity Business Development Lead, will lead the growth of Mastercard’s Cyber business in this key segment. As the P&L owner for Mastercard Cybersecurity within the segment, you will drive strategic growth and commercial success of the cybersecurity business, generating revenue through direct sales engagement and by liaising across relevant customer-facing teams to maximize sales for Cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal execution across teams : facilitate key client introductions across businesses, exploring cross-sell opportunities between Recorded Future, Risk Recon, and Cyber-Consulting; oversee sales enablement for Services Business Leads (SBLs) including sales collateral, pitch decks, training, and pipeline visibility; align product, sales, consulting and marketing teams around launches and revenue goals.
- Specialist Cyber Sales : own end-to-end sales with a focus on consulting bundles; manage referrals and lead generation for Mastercard managed accounts from Recorded Future and Risk Recon; identify issues, take improvement actions, and report progress; track lead funnel health and conversion efficiency and advise on integration risks. Success measured by sales performance, client impact, and expansion of Mastercard’s cybersecurity solutions footprint.
Required Qualifications
Cybersecurity experience : 5+ years in cybersecurity consulting or technology sales with team management responsibility; industry savvy with understanding of emerging cyber trends and market opportunities; experience selling security services, consulting and / or technologies (e.g., cyber threat intelligence, security awareness and training, cloud security, crisis and incident response, third-party risk management, threat and vulnerability management, security in disruptive technologies such as AI, CRQ, web application firewall, identity protection).Diverse stakeholder management : experience managing cross-functional initiatives, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach; exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders; track record of delivering results through planning and execution; comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities; ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution; experience in fast-paced environments and complex organizational structures.Commercial experience : strong communication and presentation skills; direct selling or customer-facing experience to identify client needs and develop cybersecurity proposals; ability to identify new business opportunities and draft proposals; ability to build trust-based relationships with mid- and executive-level clients; note : no non-competes that prevent sales interactions with clients in the financial services sector.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with information security standards and good practices (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO27001, NIST, CIS, CSA).Experience with payment ecosystem security and understanding of security needs for potential customers within the sales territory.Corporate Security Responsibility
