Job Purpose
The objective is to maintain continuous, effective, and efficient plant production by controlling or operating chemical processes, systems, and machines, all while strictly adhering to safety and operational regulations, rules, and procedures. Responsible for operating the Distributed Control System (DCS) within the plant to meet all process control parameters and product specifications, ensuring the safe operation of the facility. The role involves executing operations effectively across all areas of plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust chemical and mechanical systems.
- Inspect equipment and materials for safety and quality.
- Lead start-up / shutdown procedures and respond to emergencies.
- Maintain records, ensure compliance, and optimize processes.
- Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Align with Maaden’s vision and values.
- Take ownership of personal development and performance.
- Set goals, share expertise, and support continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance, mentor peers, and contribute to plant operations.
- Promote innovation, prioritize tasks, and maintain a positive team environment.

Qualifications & Experience
Education : High School Diploma (minimum); Diploma in Engineering or Ammonia Production preferred.Experience : 6+ years in mining (ammonium production); international experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards.Skilled in industrial control systems and chemical handling.Experienced in shutdown / startup operations and regulatory compliance.Commit to self-development and continuous improvement.Embrace digital transformation within the function.Foster collaboration and build strong networks.Promote a strong safety culture and personal accountability.Understand and apply HSE rules and compliance requirements.Identify and act on safety hazards proactively.Support Ma’aden’s Safety Culture Transformation Program.Strong safety awareness and emergency readiness.Expertise in shutdown / start-up operations.Advanced problem‑solving, critical thinking, and decision‑making.Deep knowledge of production processes, raw materials, and chemical handling.Skilled in equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Proficient in industrial control systems and compliance protocols.Effective communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.Physically fit for demanding environments (e.g., heights, confined spaces).Certified in first aid and trained in regulatory standards.Benefits
