Director of Primary Care & Community Services (x2) – Care Quality Commission
Join the Director of Primary Care & Community Services x 2 role at the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This leadership position combines strategy and high‑quality operational delivery in Primary Care & Community Services.
Location : Home‑based, with travel across the region and to meetings required. Contract : Up to 18 months. Salary : Executive 2 – £95,000–£113,625 per annum. Closing date : Monday 10 November 2025 at 11.59pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational delivery and regulatory activity across the Directorate.
- Accountable for achieving key performance targets and delivering in the CQC Way – putting people who use services at the heart of everything.
- Lead high‑performing teams to deliver significant operational priorities in Primary Care.
- Collaborate with General Practice, develop innovative solutions with cross‑sector partners, ensuring safe and effective care.
- Lead a national or regional review of access to Primary Care using data and insights (including lived experience) to shape future regulation and improve service delivery.
- Provide strategic leadership across regulatory and operational activity, driving performance and sector improvement.
- Identify and respond to emerging risks and trends, shaping national policy and practice.
- Manage resources and budgets effectively to deliver high‑impact outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across health and social care.
- Support the development of sector expertise and consistency across regulatory teams.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience leading strategic change in Primary Care & Community Services.Ability to use data and insight to identify risks and drive quality improvements across complex systems.Proven success in senior stakeholder engagement, including presenting to national bodies and influencing policy.Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.How to Apply
