Monitors, plans and manages cash flow. Performs the full range of taxation work including completion of tax forecasts, maintenance of accurate records and provision of advice to management on related matters. Works independently on most assignments but receives technical guidance on unusual problems and needs approval on proposed plans for projects, ensuring compliance with tax laws and optimizing the company's tax position through legitimate tax planning strategies. May supervise junior taxation staff members. RESPONSIBILITIES
Tax
Deliver preestablished outcomes for designated tax areas by working within established tax systems. Data Collection and Analysis
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends. Data Management
Manage basic aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues. This includes being responsible for developing or operating basic elements of the data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes. Insights and Reporting
Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports. Document Preparation
Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication. Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols
Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice. Information and Business Advice
Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy. Financial Management and Control
Work within established systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area of financial control. Operational Compliance
Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and / or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate. Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance. Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. (Over 6 years to 10 years) Managerial Experience Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (2 years to 5 years)
