Job Purpose :

To lead and perform testing and commissioning activities for high-voltage substations (HV / MV / LV), ensuring all systems operate per design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. The role involves hands-on testing, supervision, technical reporting, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Testing & Commissioning

• Perform and lead testing activities for primary and secondary equipment in substations :
• Power transformers (functional checks, ratio, winding resistance, insulation resistance, etc.)
• Switchgear (GIS / AIS), circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, protection relays.
• Protection and control systems.
• Battery chargers, DC systems, SCADA, communication systems.
• Conduct functional and interlock tests of protection and control schemes.
• Execute and verify relay settings for distance, differential, overcurrent, and other protections.
• Perform primary and secondary injection testing.
• Ensure system energization is done safely and in compliance with protocols.
