Genetic Counselor (Jeddah - Riyadh)

Job Summary : This position is responsible for facilitate genetic testing process.

Duties & responsibilities :

1.      Ensure compliance with the current safety requirements.

2.      Contact with patients to answer their concern.

3.       Participate in CME program.

4.      Attend regular laboratory meetings.

5.      Perform other duties as assigned by unit head.

6.      Act as intermediaries between clinicians and molecular & cytogenetic laboratories to facilitate the genetic testing process. This includes handling and prioritizing requests for whole exome sequencing and targeted mutation testing.

Knowledge and Abilities :

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated mentoring and coaching, influencing, negotiating and personal interaction skills.
• Flexibility & adaptability are required, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent basic computer skills.
• Work cooperatively and effectively with others.

Certification / Licensures :

Certification by Saudi council for health specialty

Requirements

Master degree of Genetic Counselling
