For more information, please visit our Website Context This AMIRAL Project, jointly developed by Saudi Aramco and Total, will be a large-scale integrated petrochemical facility (including a mixed feed cracker, downstream derivatives units, integration, utilities, and other support facilities). This project is located adjacent to and integrated with the Jubail Export Refinery currently owned and operated by Saudi Aramco & Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP); a Saudi Aramco and Total joint venture. The existing (and future) industries are located at the AL-Jubail Industrial City II industrial area, established west of Jubail, on the east coast of The Kingdom and will be subject to regulation by the Royal Commission for Jubail And Yanbu (RCJY). The project is to develop a wastewater treatment and reuse plant to receive the wastewater and spent caustic streams from a series of plants located at the AMIRAL facility, recover a target of 70% of the flows, and deliver Demineralized water to the clients. The main treatment process will include the following key stages : Flow Balancing of influent streams Catalytic Oxidation and Cyanide Treatment DAF clarification for TSS oily waste removal Biological Treatment / MBBR and Bio-DAF clarification Submerged Ultra-Filtration (SUF) pre-treatment for high grade reuse stream Reverse Osmosis for removal of soluble salts to produce high grade process water for reuse Mixed Bed Ion Exchange (MBIX) to generate a high-grade demineralised water for reuse Brine will be treated through Multilfo, Ozonation, BAF, break point chlorination and GAC Sludge will be dewatered The Project will be developed under a non-recourse project finance scheme, whose sponsors are Veolia and MARAFIQ. A project company will be established and resourced to deliver the project within the required timeframe. Job Description Main Accountabilities The process manager will be responsible for overseeing the design of process packages developed by the EPC contractor. In this position, the process manager will ensure that all treatment systems are designed in compliance with the project initial specification, regulations, contractual obligations, and best operating practices applicable to such facilities. Detailed Job Description Provides comprehensive technical inputs to the Owners Engineer / EPC contractor throughout the design development phase. Coordinates with internal process experts to ensure accurate inputs and assumptions. Reviews the design process and all associated technical documents to ensure compliance with project legal, environmental, operating, performance, and availability requirements. Review or organize the review of all produced process and process safety related documents, formulate comments and according to the agreed gives approval. Reviews the selected Technology packages proposed by the EPC jointly with the Owners Engineer. Offers technical assistance during Hazop and other necessary studies throughout the execution stage. Review the consistency of the utilities, ancillaries, balance of plant in terms of heat & mass, utilities, storage volumes, process safety (ATEX, firefighting, etc) particularly regarding the interfaces with the technology / licensors packages. Qualifications Demonstrated successful experience in the development and delivery of engineering for large and complex process projects. Preference for candidates with experience in the Oil & Gas industry or Chemical Industry. Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience. Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering. Previous experience in the Hazardous Waste Industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, technologies, and equipment Ability to work with an Electronic Documentation Management System Ability to work with common Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tools, and the most common professional software (MS Project, etc).
