Principal Structural Geologist Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Structural Geologist to collaborate with our technical team to achieve exploration excellence. The role involves maintaining and developing methodologies and SOPs, from core orientation and quality control to detailed structural analysis. The successful candidate will ensure continued team development, including geological understanding (mineralogy, structure, etc.) and training in modern exploration methods. The Principal Structural Geologist is expected to solve geological problems through the interpretation of structural data to understand geological history and processes. Responsibilities include conducting structural analysis to determine controls on mineralization, modeling structures, lithologies, and complex ore bodies in 3D for mineral estimation, and interpreting structures from regional geophysical datasets (magnetics, gravity, IP, etc.). The role also involves working across all Maaden exploration camps and mentoring geologists in the field. Qualifications and Experience
Broad exploration experience in multiple terrains (at least 2) and significant knowledge of at least 3 commodities, with understanding of an additional 2 or international recognition in a single commodity or exploration process, with proven expertise in geological mapping, data interpretation, and modeling. Multicontinent exploration experience. Sound commercial skills and resource estimation or feasibility study experience. Ability to commercialize technical expertise. Extensive knowledge of applied exploration techniques. Key Skills and Competencies
Practical problem-solving skills and recognizing areas for improvement with specific action recommendations. Ability to generate geological ore body models supported by discoveries of likely ore.
