Job Description
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the center.
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Conducts pre- and post-operative education.
- Serves as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team.
- Takes and monitors patients’ vital signs.
- Ensures that operating on correct patient and the correct procedure is being performed.
- Prepares operating room for patient / procedure with surgical equipment, sterile, linens and supplies that will be needed during surgery.
- Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of sterile techniques. Maintain order and cleanliness in operating room.
- Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their post-treatment home care needs, self-administration of medication and rehabilitation.
- Assists in positioning, responding to comfort / safety of patient. Assists the surgeon and scrub nurse as they prepare the patient for surgery.
- Handles patient documentation. Inventories all items both pre- and post-surgery.
Qualifications :
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required. Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board / Bar / Prof'l License Exam) holder.
Maintain current licensure in nursing from country-of-hire and Saudi Council Health Specialties.Graduate of accredited School of Nursing (preferable Bachelor Degree in Nursing)Two (2) years post-basic experience, six (6) months of which should be in relevant specialty. Preferably with experience in a hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Must have knowledge of current nursing theory and practice.Must have Apostille credentialsAdditional Information :
