We are seeking an experienced NDE Manager to oversee all Non-Destructive Examination activities and analysis operations for our casting and forging products. This role encompasses all NDE methods including RT, UT, MT, PT, and Visual Testing. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and safety of NDE operations while delivering results that meet customer requirements and international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall NDE operations (RT, MT, PT, UT, VT) across the organization
- Review and monitor monthly and daily work schedules for NDE operations
- Ensure availability of sufficient resources to meet production targets
- Review customer specifications and international codes and standards
- Provide guidance for NDE quotations on new products
- Plan and execute continuous training and development programs for NDE operators and technicians
- Review and approve NDE procedures in accordance with latest codes and standards
- Monitor and reduce RT retake levels and re-repair percentages
- Conduct periodic checks for NDE raw material verification
- Provide corrective actions for customer complaints and audit findings
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen and 5S
- Implement new NDE technologies to meet industry requirements
- Oversee radiation safety activities in compliance with local regulatory agencies
- Conduct technical discussions with third parties and customers regarding NDE activities
- Ensure NRRC compliance requirements are met
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Master of Science in PhysicsMinimum 15 years of experience in NDE as a Level III professionalExperience managing large NDE facilities in casting, forging, Oil & Gas, or Aerospace industries preferredHands‑on knowledge of Linear Accelerator X‑ray systems is essentialASNT Level III in RT, PT, VT, MT, UT (ISO 9712 Level III preferred)Hands‑on experience and knowledge in NDE standards such as ASME, ISO, ENPractical experience with Linear Accelerator systemsFormal Radiation Safety certification preferredAbility to interpret NDE test results and prepare technical documentationSeniority level
