The IT Helpdesk provides technical support for end users, focusing on construction-specific applications and Oracle ERP systems. The role involves resolving technical issues, collaborating with IT and project teams, and ensuring service availability. The IT Helpdesk supports field engineers, back-office teams, and ERP users while promoting knowledge sharing and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for Oracle ERP users (Finance, HR, Projects, Procurement) and escalates issues to Oracle support when needed.
- Support end users on construction software including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Primavera P6.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues in office and construction site environments.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, applications, and database teams to resolve technical issues and upgrades.
- Assist in deployments, configurations, and maintenance of user systems, construction tools, and collaboration platforms.
- Develop and maintain user documentation, knowledge bases, and technical SOPs.
- Mentor and support junior IT staff through training and peer problem-solving.
- Participate in IT projects such as site rollouts, ERP updates, and construction tech integration.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance policies.
- Troubleshoot VPN and network issues, with experience in Cisco, Fortinet, and Sophos.
- Provide desktop support and manage file-sharing solutions.
- Manage, monitor, and maintain CCTV systems across sites.
- Support Office 365 applications and user access management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in construction or engineering.Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Fusion (user support, issue triage).Seniority level
