Overview
The Cardiac Care Nurse 2 provides direct patient care in the assigned nursing unit and is responsible for implementing nursing processes which include ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, maintaining patient safety, and working under moderate supervision to deliver efficient and effective nursing care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

- Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving the assigned unit's nursing practices
- Participate in the development of protocols and processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency

- Support the empowerment of nurses through the enculturation of the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model
Operational Roles & Responsibilities
Provide various nursing care services as assigned, including patient managementAssist in routine clinical tasks and ensure patient safety throughout the processCollaborate with physicians and clinicians to support smooth operations within the unitMonitor patient progress and report concerns to senior staffAchieve and / or maintain the mandated set of activities for level 2 which is a minimum total of 15 points in at least three categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement ProgramUtilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patients ageProvide nursing care and patient-family education consistent with the plan of care and needs of the patients with respect for the patients’ privacy, dignity, personal preference and culture, demonstrating acceptance, caring and empathy while utilizing appropriate resources when applicablePrecept new hires and trainees during the probation / training period and participate in making recommendations regarding progress and training needsRespond promptly and effectively to emergency and lifesaving situations by utilizing clinical skills, critical thinking and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomesPerform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety and comfort while maintaining a safe, clean and organized environment for the patient, family / visitors and staffAdminister Chemotherapy and Biotherapy medications following completion of the chemotherapy competency and requirementsUtilize standard guidelines and policy to assess, develop and implement nursing care plans and evaluate outcomes for Palliative Care and Cellular Therapy patientsEducational / Qualifications : International Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); or actively pursuing BSN with formal academic transcript submission.
Professional Certifications Required
Current licensure as a professional registered nurse; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Years of Experience
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including 1 year in Cardiac Care or related field.
Languages
English : Fully Proficient; Arabic : Preferred
