Overview
The Printer and PC Technician is a skilled IT hardware and infrastructure specialist responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of all computing, networking, and printing equipment within the organization. This includes desktops, laptops, servers, printers, scanners, switches, and wireless access points. The technician ensures reliable performance of all IT hardware and provides high-quality support to end-users to maintain business continuity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Hardware Maintenance & Troubleshooting : Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of IT hardware including printers, scanners, copiers, and multifunction devices; desktop PCs, laptops, and workstations; servers, network switches, routers, and access points; IP telephones, CCTV systems, and other connected peripherals; replace or upgrade internal components such as hard drives, RAM, motherboards, NICs, and power supplies; perform firmware upgrades and configuration backups for switches, routers, and network devices; conduct system performance tests and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
- Software & System Configuration : Install and configure Windows operating systems, printer / scanner drivers, and office software; join devices to the company domain and apply Group Policy configurations; configure and maintain static IPs, DHCP reservations, VLAN assignments, and printer queues; manage server connections and perform routine checks on hardware health and storage usage.
- Network & Infrastructure Support : Configure and maintain wireless access points (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Aruba, etc.) to ensure stable connectivity; support small-scale server maintenance tasks, including disk replacements and system reboots.
- Preventive Maintenance & Documentation : Develop and execute scheduled maintenance plans for all hardware and peripherals; maintain asset records, inventory logs, and service documentation; generate detailed maintenance and performance reports for management review.
- User & Field Support : Provide on-site and remote support to resolve hardware and connectivity issues quickly; assist with equipment setup, relocation, and IT infrastructure expansion projects; educate users on basic troubleshooting, safe hardware usage, and IT best practices; coordinate with hardware vendors and service contractors for warranty claims and equipment procurement; participate in IT rollout projects, hardware upgrades, and system improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.3–5 years of proven experience in IT hardware, networking, and technical support.Hands-on experience with : printer and scanner repair and configuration; PC and laptop assembly, imaging, and OS deployment; network switch and access point configuration (Cisco, HP, TP-Link, Alcatel, etc.); basic server administration and monitoring; IP telephony and VoIP setup; good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting tools (ping, tracert, etc.).Preferred Skills
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities.Experience with print management systems, network monitoring tools, and remote desktop solutions.Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks efficiently.Working Conditions
May require travel to remote company sites for maintenance and support tasks.Flexibility to work after hours, weekends, or on-call as needed for critical issues.Physical ability to lift and install IT hardware, including servers and network devices.#J-18808-Ljbffr
