HVAC Senior Service Technician

Overview

HVAC Senior Service Technician role at Carrier Climate Solutions Transportation. This position requires extensive experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, and service delivery to ensure safe, reliable operation of equipment. Qualifications

Diploma (or equivalent) in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Field +10 years of working experience in the HVAC industry / field A valid driving license is a plus Knowledge

Principles and practices of HVAC equipment’s maintenance and repair in line with industry practices and manufacturer’s guidelines Hazard & Safety practices and procedures used in installing, repairing & maintaining HVAC equipment and MSDS sheets Overall understanding and practices of tools utilization and management Preparation and filling of inspection reports / technical reports Quality management practices per company standards and applicable quality standards Good English knowledge in speaking, writing, reading and listening Communication and interpersonal skills, team player and customer oriented Basic understanding and knowledge in metal sheets, electrical, carpentry and Building Automation controls Responsibilities

Follow standard processes to accomplish tasks; understand and follow oral and written directions Attend and complete assigned tasks within time, ensuring quality services and customer satisfaction; leave site clean and neat Keep customer informed of task nature and progress; share outstanding issues and recommendations Fill up Job Completion Certificate / Job Card / EH&S site surveys Inspect air-conditioning units to ensure efficient operation and diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions; make recommendations Estimate labor hours and materials required Prepare inspection reports (site condition, SOW, and technical recommendations) Prepare technical reports and root cause analysis Possess basic computer and mobile app skills Repair and replace damaged parts Work independently in the absence of supervision Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and maintain maintenance records Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems; clean coils, check belts and motors Work closely with colleagues as part of an integrated team Recognize safety hazards in HVAC operations and implement appropriate controls Escalate or request additional support when needed Rig and set up gantry for safely lifting equipment and overhauling pumps or chillers Manage and organize tools, pickup, delivery, usage and inventory Attend regular EH&S / Technical trainings and meetings Minimum Product Knowledge
