SENIOR PHARMACIST. (Ras Tanura)

Overview

The Senior Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and effective dispensation and medication management within assigned JHAH premises. Performs comprehensive assessments, analysis, and recommendations of disease management or drug therapy in collaboration with patient care team members or based on approved disease / pharmacotherapy management protocols and per JHAH policies and clinical guidelines. Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of pharmaceutical care to optimize patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as pharmacy representative for the assigned quality improvement teams, unit-based safety projects, or JHAH committees
• Participate in service-wide implementation of performance and outcome improvement initiatives to optimize organizational effectiveness, efficiency and digital transformation including development or updates of clinical protocols or conduct medication use evaluations
• Conduct and participate in JHAH pharmacy branding activities including but not limited to publishing articles, publishing posters, serving as speaker in conferences, participating in community awareness activities to enhance advancement of JHAH pharmacy profession
• Set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergent continuity of care situations

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

Qualifications

Recognized Pharm D degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy by Saudi Arabia or equivalent with 5 years experience

Professional Certifications Required

SCFHS license

Years of Experience

Minimum 5 years of related experience

Languages

English : Fully Proficient; Arabic : Not Required
