Senior Commercial Manager

Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Commercial Manager to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing :

Provide support and guidance on all commercial issues within the projects and ensure that commercial staff attains their maximum potential.

Interact with client and address all inquiries related to commercial and contract maximize the profitability of projects.

Payment of sub-contractors.

Preparation of pre contract cost plans.

Cost and budget control

Managing a team of quantity surveyors / cost engineers

Internal cost comparisons and cost projections

Analysis of cost over-run and other implications.

Preparation of tender documents

Procurement of consultants and Contractors

Negotiation and award of contract packages

Preparation of cost reports

Negotiate final accounts with sub-contractors.

Responsibility for all financial contractual issues arising during the course of his contract.

Identify legitimate contractual claim situations and prepare suitable and sufficient documentation to clients.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field and 10 years demonstrable experience in a commercial role .

Member of a professional body, is preferred but not essential

Demonstrates a knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.

Precontract cost planning essential

Previous experience gained working with a PQS firm is preferred

Experience of preparing tender documents and BOQ’s

Cost planning and cost estimating experience and must.

Knowledge of relevant IT packages and applications.

Good team player and communicator.

Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines

Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
