What this job involves :
The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the procurement function by assisting in the strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract administration activities. This role focuses on ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies and procedures.
What your day-to-day will look like :
Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies for assigned categories
Support supplier identification, evaluation, and selection processes
Conduct market research and analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
Participate in RFP / RFQ processes and vendor negotiations
Maintain procurement documentation and vendor databases
Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors
Review and analyze contracts, terms, and conditions
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills :
Professional certifications (CPSM, CPPO, or similar)
Experience in real estate or facilities management procurement
Knowledge of sustainability and ESG procurement practices
Familiarity with e-procurement platforms and automation tools
Required Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
Experience in vendor management and contract administration preferred
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities
Knowledge of contract management systems
Understanding of procurement regulations and compliance requirements
