Infrastructure Engineer

” The Job Description” Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure). Monitor and manage system performance, availability, and reliability. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of hardware and software. Configure and troubleshoot network components (LAN / WAN, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP). Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions. Collaborate with software developers, security engineers, and other IT staff. Ensure systems meet business needs and service-level agreements (SLAs). Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Manage and maintain virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). Provide support for escalated technical issues and incidents. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of system administration (Windows / Linux). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with virtualization technologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of networking protocols and security best practices. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications : Certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Network+ / Security+. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python). Tagged as :
