EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced, and reliable Traffic Engineer with the following requirements :
Responsibilities
- Study traffic patterns, conduct special studies (e.g., crash data, traffic flow), and use software like traffic simulation and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze data and predict impacts.
- Design traffic control systems, road networks, parking facilities, and public transit systems. This includes the design of signal timing plans and the preparation of geometric design plans for roads and intersections.
- Develop and implement traffic management plans, oversee maintenance of traffic signals and signs, and provide input on construction plans.
- Prepare engineering reports, coordinate with other departments and agencies, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in traffic simulation and design software, GIS, and understanding of transportation engineering principles.
- Participates in field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects.
- Exposure and general awareness of risk management procedures to minimize EXP and client’s exposure.
- Exposure to work planning and tailoring design process to the available hours in work plan for a project.
- Understand proper scope of SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation.
- Work with PC, PM, and Clients to meet scheduled project milestones.
- Manage and deliver deliverables and revisions for various milestones.
- Applying EXP standards and practices (IE : training materials, OneNote, etc.) to each project.
- Market Sector – Generally understands differences in design requirements or approaches between sectors.
- Attend to project sites and construction meetings and provide technical input.
- Positively contribute to EXP and local office culture.
- Proficient in producing working CAD drawings and models.
- Proficient and well versed with the Saudi Building Code.
Background and Qualifications
6-9 Minimum Years of Experience in Traffic Engineering in Saudi ArabiaBachelor’s degree from a reputable institutionActive member of the Saudi Council of EngineersProficient in CAD software, REVIT, and other aspects within the BIM environmentProficient and well versed with the Saudi Building Code.Licensed to perform relevant duties in Saudi ArabiaNon-Technical
