الوصف الوظيفيBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or part qualification in CPA / CA / ACCA is a plus). Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or audit environment. Construction industry experience is an added advantage. Fair knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preference will be given to locals.
The General Accountant will support the Finance Manager and oversee all Accounts Payable, Construction Accounting, Taxation, Cash Management, and GL Closing functions for the SPV company.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage accounts payable functions including liaising with project management and other teams, validating contractor invoices against relevant contracts, and processing payments.
- Maintain accurate records related to projects such as progress status, contracts, and payments.
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and execute monthly closing activities by entering necessary adjustments in the ERP system.
- Prepare weekly / monthly bank reconciliations, updating direct cash flow statement and collaborating with banks as required.
- Reconcile accounts payable and related-party accounts on a regular basis, addressing reconciling items promptly.
- Prepare and file monthly / quarterly tax returns while maintaining meticulous tax records.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate required schedules for annual and interim audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Assist in management reporting and support other external reporting tasks as needed.
