“Mechanical Design Engineer”

with the following requirements : Responsibilities

Proficient in producing working Revit MEP drawings / models. Proficient in producing working CAD drawings and models. Proficient visualizing systems in a 3D environment and utilizing clash detection software (e.g., Interference Watcher). Perform thermal, water supply, sand drainage load calculations. Prepare calculations for mechanical loads and equipment schedules. Code research to comply with building codes, NFPA, Energy Codes etc. Edit mechanical specifications to reflect project requirements with input from Senior Engineers. Develop Control Sequences. Exposure to equipment room sizing and layouts during the SD phase. Ability to direct an EL1 or Interns on a limited basis. Select and schedule equipment with limited oversight by Senior Engineers. Meet with vendors to get exposure to specification requirements for different applications. Participates in field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects. Initiates coordination of space and utility requirements with other disciplines. Prepares and executes tasks relevant to the development of Mechanical Design from Concept to Construction Documents. Maintain the discipline Engineering Calcs and equipment selections for the project. Exposure and general awareness of risk management procedures to minimize EXP and client’s exposure. Exposure to work planning and tailoring design process to the available hours in work plan for a project. Understand proper scope of SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation. Work with PC, PM, and Clients to meet scheduled project milestones. Manage and deliver drawings and revisions for various milestones. Understands and properly applies existing EXP details relevant to projects. Ability to comprehend drawings of other disciplines. Applying EXP standards and practices (e.g., training materials, OneNote) to each project. Market Sector – Generally understands differences in design requirements or approaches between sectors. Attend project sites and construction meetings and provide technical input. Positively contribute to EXP and local office culture. Background and Qualifications

4-8 years of experience in Mechanical Design in Saudi Arabia Holder of a degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers Proficient in CAD software, REVIT preferred Proficient in Mechanical design software Non-Technical

Professionalism : Appropriate written and verbal communications skills. Professional presentation external and internal to office (e.g., attire, engagement, meeting prep). Demonstrates presentation skills through internal and external technical presentations and white papers. Leads participation in voluntary training opportunities such as vendor lunch and learns.
