Sourcing / Buyer Specialist

Join our Baker Hughes IS Sourcing Product Line. IS product line handles LSTK projects & CTD projects of Baker Hughes, delivering wells to the client in a timely and efficient manner. We focus on identifying and sourcing the right services and products to ensure flawless operation and to satisfy client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Floating RFQ / Inquiry to potential local and global suppliers based on operations requirements.
• Performing negotiations with suppliers on techno-commercial aspects and aligning terms of purchase favorably.
• Initiating short-term and long-term contracts with suppliers and service providers with the help of Legal and Sourcing leadership.
• Issuing purchase orders according to operations requirements and closing them after delivery.
• Evaluating and monitoring supplier performance through monthly / weekly scorecards and communicating effectively with Baker Hughes Global supplier base in different time zones.
• Connecting with Site Material, Engineering, and Project teams on shortages and identifying process improvements.
• Managing Push-Out and Pull-In of orders, organizing parts pickup, and reducing overall logistics costs with timely deliveries.
• Being responsible for all aspects related to parts supplier management and execution, monitoring parts availability.
• Developing risk mitigation strategies including contingency plans, lead-time reductions and supply chain efficiency. Knowledge of Incoterms, EU and US regulatory and import requirements.
• Communicating with internal product line to identify and prioritize services / products that can be delivered to mitigate and optimize cost exposure.
• Monitoring purchase order reports for closure of each purchase (delivery, GR, invoicing) in a timely manner within procurement KPI’s.
