They remain the only export hay company in Australia that undertakes rigorous quality and nutritional testing and as the only HACCP accredited export hay company in Australia, they take pride in leading the industry in quality, safety, and traceability.

The Position Due to a recent promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Account Manager for the South Australian operations. Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, this role is critical in developing key relationships with growers and negotiating and managing hay purchases throughout the region.

Key responsibilities will include the following (but not limited to) :

  • Security and quality of supply
  • Effectiveness of relationships with growers to build a loyal grower base
  • Effectiveness of annual procurement strategy & planning
  • Coordination and delivery of field and testing services
  • Facilitate delivery of product to production facilities based on production requirements

The Person This role requires a professional, well-presented individual, ideally with some experience (two plus years) in account management in an agricultural environment, or relevant equivalent experience.

We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following key skills, background, and experience :

  • Background in the farming / agriculture sector, ideally with exposure to the hay industry
  • Broad understanding of agronomy and associated characteristics of crop production and associated growing and environmental impacts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to build strong credible relationships with growers
  • High level negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Strong team player and self-starter
  • Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline, whilst highly desirable are not considered essential, but a willingness to undertake further education and / or training is required.
