Role
Accounts Payable Cum Paymaster
What you’ll be doing
- Accounts Payable : Prepare weekly check runs with supporting documentation, present to Finance Manager and General Manager for signature.
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly with hotel records; follow up on discrepancies.
- Balance accounts payable to the general ledger daily.
- Match invoices and delivery dockets with purchase orders; ensure invoices are authorized by department heads prior to processing.
- Ensure correct general ledger codes are used on invoices; manage payment of invoices and liaise with suppliers.
- Reconcile invoices to supplier statements and handle AP queries.
- Review and improve accounts payable processes to meet hotel obligations; liaise with external suppliers and internal claimants to ensure compliance.
- Assist with monitoring hotels fixed assets and inventory.
- Paymaster : Supervise monthly payrolls with accuracy and timely payment of associates’ salaries, benefits and related payments.
- Monitor time and attendance to ensure payroll accruals are properly accounted for.
- Prepare month-end JV interface to the financial system and monthly payroll reconciliations.
- Ensure payroll policies are followed; compile and input payroll data for hourly employees; analyze and prepare payroll data for all personnel.
- Facilitate understanding of payroll procedures for management and employees; ensure compliance with applicable KSA labor law.
- Resolve payroll queries and enforce payroll policies; prepare final settlements for leaving employees; assist with related payroll reports.
- Human Capital : Oversee work performance related to posting, audit and balance reporting; assist in training new hires and on-the-job trainees.

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Administration or Commerce with a major in Accountancy2 years hotel experience in a similar capacity and minimum 5 years direct experience in accounts departmentCompetency in ACCPAC, SAP, Opera PMS, Microsoft Office, and related hospitality softwareStrong written and spoken EnglishGood organizational and multi-tasking skills; able to work independently and in a teamDiscretion with confidential material; quick mathematical calculationsAdaptable to change and able to work under time constraintsBenefits
