Roles in this Job Family design, solution, deploy, migrate, manage, and change infrastructure services. Provides operational support and ongoing maintenance of Oracle databases. Ensures daily backup, patching, monitoring, and compliance with DR and security standards. Manages SQL Server database environments ensuring availability, security, and performance. Supports backup, patching, and operational tasks for mission-critical business applications.

Responsibilities

Administer Oracle databases in test and production environments.

Perform regular backups, restoration drills, and patch deployments.

Monitor performance and resolve standard incidents and alerts.

Maintain data replication and archival per policy.

Assist in upgrades, migrations, and documentation updates.

Implement high availability (AlwaysOn, clustering) and security.

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases (2016+).

Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.

Monitor performance and implement tuning procedures.

Create and manage jobs, alerts, and scheduled maintenance plans.

Mandatory Skills Description

Strong hands-on with Oracle DB 12c / 19c, RMAN, Data Pump.

SQL tuning and PL / SQL scripting knowledge.

Backup and monitoring tools usage (OEM, TSM, or Commvault).

Familiarity with DR, clustering, and Linux OS basics.

Proficient in T-SQL, SSMS, and SQL Profiler.

Familiar with monitoring tools and PowerShell automation.

Awareness of IT compliance, auditing, and hardening.
