Join our Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation department as the Technical Support Specialist for protection and automation to support Siemens Energy Automation Business transformation and growth, with a focus on customer satisfaction and ongoing solutions. Responsibilities
Provide superior customer experience with each contact; inquiries via phone, email, and online chat. Log queries and create tickets using SIEMENS supporting tools and systems. Prioritize daily workload of internal and external inquiries, recognizing urgency and acting accordingly. Identify, redirect and / or escalate problems to appropriate resources per customer support procedures. Replicate customer issues in online / offline tools or labs, prepare solutions, and respond timely for resolution at customer sites; may involve on-site visits for defect investigation and possible resolution. Inspect claimed failure devices for preliminary reporting and corrective actions. Simulate claimed protection relays performance, coordinate with experts, and offer corrective applications and configurations. Process replacement / repair devices under warranty; coordinate receipt of faulty devices, apply for re-export documents, dispatch back to factory, and track replacements to customers. Engage in Technical Promoter activities toward end users and direct customers to expand the homologated portfolio and introduce new technologies. Qualifications
Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with focus on Power System Protection & Control. Interest in Electrification and Automation Portfolio; especially Protection & Control and IoT connectivity for Digital Transformation. Strong technical knowledge of protection and control applications; adequate knowledge of protection devices from different vendors. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in protection and automation. High-level knowledge of Siemens protection and automation products and related software (DIGSI 4 / 5, SICAM, IEC61850 Configurator). Experience in installation, testing & commissioning of protection relays (Siemens and other vendors). Proactive in customer engagement and pursuit of new clients; growth mindset and willingness to learn. Collaborative with ability to cultivate relationships and networks; agile and technically passionate about creating solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of web analytics tools; interest in IoT technology. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to adapt to change, take initiative, be resourceful and dependable. High flexibility and availability for travel and customer visits around the kingdom; able to work independently and maintain confidentiality and ethics. Additional information
