Job Description : This is a full-time on-site role located in KSA (we need a number of candidates to fill the roles in Riyadh, Abha, Makkah, NEOM) for qualified Coordinators who are LEED AP and / or Mostadam AP certified. (Note : Applications from candidates who do not possess at least LEED AP credentials will be denied.)
The Sustainability Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating LEED and Mostadam certification and compliance on behalf of the contractor (our client). The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all compliance documentation of LEED and Mostadam, performing site visits, developing and managing sustainability plans, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Additionally, they will be responsible for coordinating with the project construction teams to implement onsite sustainability strategies and provide evidence of achieving LEED and Mostadam construction credits. The Sustainability Coordinator will be technically supported by our back-office team and will be the point of contact for coordination between the site and our technical teams.
Responsibilities :
To be based on site full-time.
Communicate and advise construction team on LEED and Mostadam requirements and monitor implementation.
Develop Sustainability Compliance Plans addressing contractor-specific LEED & Mostadam Credits (with support from our technical team).
Attend weekly sustainability meetings in-person and prepare minutes of meetings.
Conduct a daily / weekly site inspection using relevant checklists.
Raise any non-compliance concerns to the relevant personnel.
Review material submittals (with support from our technical team).
Communicate and coordinate with the site team to collect compliance evidence.
Conduct regular training sessions for various construction teams at site and keep training records.
Prepare a monthly sustainability progress report (with support from our technical team).
Prepare the relevant submittals for LEED and Mostadam construction credits ready to be uploaded to the certification platforms.
Requirements
Qualifications : The perfect candidate will possess the following qualities :
A relevant and verifiable Engineering Degree (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical,...).
LEED v4 AP ( AND ) Mostadam AP credentials are prerequisites for the role.
Max. 5 to 7 years of experience in construction projects, of which the last 2 years in LEED / Mostadam projects, preferably in KSA.
Must be ready to join within 2 to 4 weeks (max.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with environmental compliance, building codes and regulations in KSA.
Understands the dynamics and complexities of working at site in a fast-paced environment.
Young, hard worker and able to meet deadlines of the regular submissions (weekly and monthly reports).
Bonus Points : Experience working on projects in the GCC.
Fluency in Arabic (highly desirable) and English.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
