SAP BW Expert

Job Summary

The SAP BW Expert is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of data warehousing solutions using SAP BW (NetWeaver, BW on HANA, or BW / 4HANA). This role includes overseeing data modeling, extraction, transformation, reporting, and performance optimization. The manager works directly with business stakeholders and analytics teams to translate reporting and analytics requirements into reliable, high-performing data models. This position involves managing technical teams, ensuring data quality, and driving standardization and reusability across data solutions. Experience with SAP BW / 4HANA, integration with SAP S / 4HANA, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of SAP BW solutions aligned with business needs
• Manage data extraction and transformation from SAP ECC, S / 4HANA, and third-party systems
• Build and optimize InfoProviders, CompositeProviders, and data flows
• Develop BEx queries, integrate with SAC, BO, or Analysis for Office
• Monitor and tune data loads, queries, and data volumes
• Ensure data governance, security, and access control within BW
• Collaborate with reporting teams to align technical outputs with business KPIs
• Support system upgrades, patching, and landscape management
• Document data models, ETL logic, and transport procedures
• Manage change requests, troubleshoot data and performance issues
• Lead and mentor BW developers and analysts
