Responsibilities
Actively negotiate best rates for all product types. Source special offers on a regular basis for client requirements, and to incentivize travel during non-peak periods, boost revenue and achieve targets. Identify opportunities, negotiate for allocations, and stop sales protection where applicable. Identify opportunities and negotiate for override agreements where applicable. Keep up to date with products and exclusive deals negotiated by other DMCs with vendors. Act as an advisor to Head of Product to help carry out the vendor evaluation and selection process including set up and operation of vendor evaluation and selection committee. Manage vendor performance and carry out contract renewals or make corrective actions in scenarios of vendor non-compliance or negative guest feedback / complaint.
