PURPOSE OF JOB
Drive strategic growth and operational excellence in merchant acquiring business through product management expertise, strategic thinking, stakeholder alignment, and market expansion initiatives to achieve next-level scale in customer acquisition and transaction volumes.
TASKS
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Strategic Product Management & Business Strategy
Conduct comprehensive assessment of current Merchant Acquiring product portfolio and competitive positioningDevelop strategic roadmap for product enhancements, new service offerings, and market expansionLead market intelligence initiatives to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threatsDefine product requirements and specifications aligned with aggressive growth objectivesEstablish comprehensive product performance metrics and KPI frameworksSupport the strategic planning initiatives including business case development and ROI analysisDesign and execute market entry strategies for new customer segments and geographical regionsBusiness Development & Growth Strategy
Design and implement comprehensive strategies to scale merchant customer base and transaction volumesDevelop and execute targeted customer acquisition strategies across various merchant segments (SME, Enterprise, E- commerce)Create and manage strategic partnership programs, payment facilitators, and technology providersDrive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and merchant lifecycle value optimizationAnalyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in merchant acquiringDevelop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the products and service enhancementsCreate sophisticated customer segmentation strategies and personalized acquisition approachesLead pricing strategy development including competitive analysis and value-based pricing modelsStrategic Business Development Requirements

Essential Requirements
5-8 years experience in merchant acquiring and payments industry with 2-3 years in managerial roleProven managerial experience in product management within financial services / fintechTrack record of leading teams and driving business results in payments / acquiringDeep understanding of payment processing, acquiring systems, and merchant servicesExperience managing merchant acquiring business growth initiatives and team leadershipStrong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to manage complex projectsTechnical Expertise
Knowledge of payment rails, clearing and settlement processesUnderstanding of regulatory requirements in merchant acquiring (Mada, Schemes, SAMA etc)Familiarity with emerging payment technologies (digital wallets, API integration, embedded payments)Experience with product development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)Leadership & Management
Strong communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholdersExperience working with senior management and driving strategic initiativesCultural fit for collaborative leadership in dynamic, growth-oriented environmentsPreferred Qualifications
