Responsibilities Oversee the tracking and management of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers. Ensure compliance with fixed asset policies and procedures. Calculate and record depreciation and amortization for fixed assets accurately. Maintain depreciation schedules and documentation. Conduct regular fixed asset audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies. Provide data and documentation for financial statements and reports related to fixed assets. Support audits and financial analysis. Identify opportunities to streamline fixed asset management processes. Implement best practices in fixed asset accounting. Follow policies and procedures covering all areas of reporting functional activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled and to ensure efficient, effective and deliverables always. Set-up new assets in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Reconciles fixed assets module with related fixed assets general ledger and coordinates any variances with relevant fixed assets. Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets. Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets. Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation. Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets. Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets. Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of. Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management. Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries. Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations. Oversees the development and implementation of systems, and controls to ensure that the quality and allocation are properly accounted for. Support other accounting projects, as necessary. Prepares accounting and financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial packages and financial statements including recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions. Qualifications University degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Experience Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a relevant sector including at least 2 years in Fixed Assets.
