Role Overview
As a Legal Associate, you will support the company’s legal function across multiple jurisdictions, playing a key role in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance during a period of rapid growth and structural transformation. You will handle a variety of legal matters including commercial contracts, corporate governance, litigation support, regulatory compliance, and internal risk management. This is a hands‑on role ideal for a proactive legal professional with strong commercial instincts and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, licensing, etc.).
- Support contract lifecycle management processes, including version control, execution tracking, and renewal monitoring.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with business units to align legal terms with operational needs.
- Assist in corporate governance matters, including drafting board resolutions, maintaining corporate records, and supporting subsidiary management.
- Coordinate with external counsel for jurisdiction‑specific compliance or transactional matters.
- Monitor and interpret applicable laws and regulations (e.g., data protection, employment, IP, international trade).
- Assist with regulatory filings and maintain compliance documentation and reporting logs.
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews in collaboration with risk and finance teams.
- Support the management of disputes and claims, including evidence gathering and liaison with external counsel.
- Represent the company in administrative hearings or preliminary dispute resolution processes where applicable.
- Identify potential legal risks in business operations and propose actionable mitigation strategies.
- Conduct legal research and provide written legal opinions and internal guidance notes to stakeholders.
- Develop internal legal templates, playbooks, and training materials for commercial and operational teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required; Master’s in Law (LLM) is a plus.3–5 years of experience.Experience with commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance is essential.Exposure to multi‑jurisdictional legal work or regional / international companies is a strong advantage.Technical & Legal Skills
