Application Engineer

” The Job Description”

• Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise and custom applications across production and test environments on OCI and OKE.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of applications, including Ameyo, Q-matic, Power BI, Creatio, Zetalents, MS Dynamics, and Amlock.
• Monitor application health, availability, and performance using native tools and third-party monitoring solutions.
• Investigate and resolve application-level incidents, collaborating with infrastructure, network, and database teams as needed.
• Participate in application patching, version upgrades, and feature rollouts, ensuring minimum disruption to business operations.
• Support integration between applications and backend services, APIs, and databases (including PostgreSQL).
• Ensure security compliance by applying recommended patches and coordinating with the cybersecurity team for access controls.
• Maintain and update technical documentation including system configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Assist in conducting disaster recovery (DR) simulations and ensure application-level readiness.
• Participate in change management processes by documenting changes, performing impact analysis, and executing deployment plans.
• Support DevOps teams in automating deployment pipelines and improving CI / CD practices for containerized workloads.
• Coordinate with vendors for support issues and escalate incidents in line with SLAs.
• Provide Level 2 / 3 support for application-related tickets and assist in training or knowledge transfer to support teams.
