Job Description
Egis is seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong consultancy and construction supervision experience to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role is ideally suited for a senior professional who brings both technical depth and site-based delivery experience across infrastructure, utility, and industrial development projects in Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the supervision of electrical works on-site while providing expert consultancy services across multiple project phases. Responsibilities include technical oversight, stakeholder coordination, quality assurance, risk management, and mentoring of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
1. Construction Supervision & Technical Leadership
- Lead the supervision of electrical systems on-site for various infrastructure, industrial, and utility projects, including :
- Medium, Low Voltage (MV & LV) and Street Lighting installation and commissioning
- Telecom network infrastructure installation including ducts, cables, and related equipment
- CCTV and security surveillance systems installation, integration, and testing
- Electrical power distribution, lighting systems, and fire alarm (FA) systems within factories and industrial units
- Grounding and lightning protection systems installation and testing
- Solar power system installation, integration, and commissioning
- Development and redevelopment of industrial zones and service facilities
- Installation of utility networks such as electrical distribution and SCADA systems
- Delivery of pre-engineered industrial units and service-related buildings
- Implementation of logistics and infrastructure services
- Provide consultancy support during design review, constructability assessments, and technical advisory throughout the construction phase
- Ensure full compliance with contract specifications, safety regulations, and applicable electrical codes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure seamless integration of electrical works with civil and mechanical systems
2. Documentation & Reporting
Manage the preparation, review, and maintenance of technical and site management reports, including :Inspection logs (FIRs, MIRs, MRIs) and material submittal reviewsMethod statement and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) approvals, NCR, and site instructionsRFI logs, change order evaluations, claim reviews, and work suspensions3. Quality, Safety & Risk Management
Support the preparation of :Monthly quality control reports and status tracking of inspections and deviationsHealth, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) reports aligned with regulatory and client standardsRisk registers and mitigation strategiesVendor and material accreditation logs4. Project Controls & Performance Monitoring
Review project schedules (baseline, revised, and accelerated) and monitor progressReview and analyze daily and weekly reports covering workforce, site activity, equipment, and key eventsCoordinate with planning and project control teams to identify and address performance issues5. Team Development & Client Interface
Mentor junior engineers and site staff, promoting best practices and technical developmentAct as the primary interface between the client team and contractors on electrical issuesProvide clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholders, maintaining Egis’s consultancy standardsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 10 years of experience with a strong focus on site-based construction supervision in a consultancy environmentProven track record delivering electrical systems for infrastructure, industrial, utility, and service-related projectsSolid understanding and hands‑on experience with :Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systemsStreet lighting installation and commissioningTelecom network ducting and cable installationsCCTV and security system deploymentsElectrical power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm (FA) systems in factories and industrial unitsGrounding and lightning protection systemsSolar power systems installation and commissioningExtensive knowledge of international and local codes, including IEC, NEC, SBC, SEC etc.Effective leadership, communication, and client‑facing skillsPrior experience working in the public sector or large‑scale infrastructure projects is a strong advantageRegional or international project exposure considered a plusAdditional Information
