The Project Engineer will be responsible for supervising andleading on-site teams in the installation, configuration, and testing ofelectrical protection relays (IEDs) and related equipment in substations andindustrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technicalexpertise in electrical protection systems, leadership capabilities, and adeep understanding of safety and operational standards in the oil, gas, andpetrochemical sector.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise andlead
- Supervise and lead on-site projectteams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Install, configure, and test electrical protection relays (IEDs)
including overcurrent,differential, and distance relays.Maintenance
Perform maintenance and testing ofprotection panels and electrical distribution substations.Review
Review and interpret electricaldrawings, schematics, and protection coordination diagrams.Ensure compliance with safetyregulations, company standards, and project specifications.Coordinating with clients
subcontractors, and internaldepartments to ensure smooth project operations.Prepare technical reports anddocumentation related to testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.Support troubleshooting andproblem-solving during project implementation.Lead by example to promote aculture of safety and teamwork on-site.Travel to various project sitesacross the Kingdom as required.Troubleshootingand Maintenance
Diagnose and resolve electricalissues on-site, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently.Provide ongoing support formaintenance and upgrades of electrical systems.Documentation andReporting
Prepare detailed electricaldrawings, specifications, reports, and operation manuals.Ensure all project documentation isup-to-date and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.Work closely with otherengineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless integrationof systems into larger projects.Provide technical adviceand support to other team members.Stay up to date with thelatest technologies, industry trends, and best practices.Propose and implementimprovements to enhance system performance, efficiency, andsafety.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’sdegree in Electrical Engineering or a related field andRegistration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is required .Drawings& Schematics : Ability to read, interpret, and analyze electricaldrawings and schematic functions.Communication : Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).Other Requirements :Residency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Willingness to travel to project locations as required.§ Effective project coordination and timemanagement.§ Analyticalmindset with strong problem-solving abilities.§ Commitmentto safety and quality standards.#J-18808-Ljbffr
