Project Director – Riyadh, KSA
The Project Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management and engineering for a specific complex building site, ensuring that project goals are met on time and within budget. This position involves close collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, clients, and community representatives. The Project Director will lead, direct, and coordinate activities to support successful building project delivery, maintain high standards of quality, and foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Identify project goals, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and client requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies as necessary to identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and guide building site‑based project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project alignment and transparency.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, managing performance and providing feedback as necessary.
- Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, providing accurate forecasting and financial tracking.
- Ensure cost‑effective utilization of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Work with finance teams to prepare regular financial reports and documentation for stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, community representatives, and relevant authorities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Coordinate site visits and project‑related meetings with stakeholders as necessary.
- Oversee the quality assurance and compliance processes to meet industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work is being performed according to specifications.
- Identify and address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place for unforeseen challenges.
- Resolve project‑related issues effectively, applying creative solutions to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and provide recommendations to stakeholders on risk mitigation.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and filed appropriately for future reference.
- Prepare and submit regular project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct project post‑mortems to identify areas for improvement and share lessons learned for future projects.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and engineering, with a focus on site‑based projects.Proven experience in budgeting, scheduling, and quality management for large‑scale projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent).Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and safety protocols.Seniority level
