Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of wet utilities systems, including potable water, firefighting, irrigation, stormwater, and sewage networks, as well as sewage treatment plants and lifting stations. The role is office-based and focused on delivering high-quality, compliant designs for major infrastructure and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of wet utility systems, including water distribution, irrigation, stormwater drainage, and sewage collection networks.
- Oversee mechanical design of sewage treatment plants (STP) and stormwater / sewage lifting stations.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, layouts, design reports, and material specifications.
- Develop design deliverables including BOQs, equipment schedules, and design calculations.
- Coordinate closely with civil, electrical, and structural teams to ensure integrated design.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi authority requirements (e.g., SBC, NWC, RC, MOMRA) and international standards.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and CAD designers.
- Participate in internal design reviews and client meetings to present and defend design choices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).Minimum 12 years of experience in wet utilities design, with a focus on STPs and pumping / lifting stations.Strong understanding of mechanical systems used in water and wastewater infrastructure.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and preparation of detailed design documentation.Familiarity with local authority processes and design standards in Saudi Arabia.Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
