Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join the engineering team of SAMA MEP, which plays a critical role in delivering technical excellence and support through the development of accurate, coordinated, and code-compliant engineering deliverables for our projects across the region.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing shop drawings for Mechanical systems, collaborating closely with senior engineers, and supporting effective coordination with other engineering disciplines. This role requires strong technical knowledge, proactive collaboration skills, and a commitment to engineering standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare shop drawings for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other related systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Apply engineering principles in HAP calculations, ventilation planning, fixtures units sizing, pump head and flow rate estimation, and ESP calculations for fans and AHUs.
• Conduct site visits to collect data, validate conditions, and ensure design compliance with real-world site constraints.
• Prepare and review riser diagrams, mechanical layouts, schematics, and material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate effectively with electrical, civil, and fitout trades to ensure interdisciplinary alignment.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including clarifications and adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
