Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive HSE programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace across our organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective HSE management systems and policies aligned with local and international standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Manage and mentor the HSE team, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization
- Prepare and present detailed HSE performance reports to senior management
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for HSE metrics
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in HSE management
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company in HSE-related matters
- Travel to various work sites as needed to ensure consistent implementation of HSE practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related fieldProfessional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CMIOSH (Chartered Member of IOSH), or equivalentMin 15 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial or construction settingsIn-depth knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment techniques, and incident investigation methodologiesStrong understanding of local and international HSE regulations and standardsFamiliarity with Saudi Arabian labor laws and HSE practicesExcellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insightsStrong leadership and team management skillsExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationProven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to HSE managementProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HSE management softwareAbility to develop and implement effective HSE strategies aligned with organizational goalsExperience in managing and mentoring HSE teamsWillingness to travel to various work sites as neededSeniority level
