Responsibilities

  • Participate in task briefing and Toolbox Talk
  • Inspect equipment, tick off check list and notify supervisor / Geologist about any malfunctioning
  • Performing maintenance and repairs and cleaning drilling equipment
  • Mobilize equipment and drilling accessories, Set up rig, safety arrangement and carryout drilling operation
  • Performing SPT and core sampling, arranging in core boxes, labelling of samples and delivery to yard
  • Photography of SPT samples
  • Ensuring that samples are collected as per scope of work specification and maintaining the quality
  • Ground water level monitoring and recording
  • Backfilling of BH upon completion
  • Preparing Daily Drilling report and sharing with supervisor / geologist

Qualifications

  • Skills
  • Shall have the basic sense towards Health, Safety, Environmental and Cultural obligations.
  • Any additional tasks handed to him based on his capability shall be entertained.
  • He shall have full knowledge of collecting, managing and handling samples including Core, SPT, Bulk and UDS.
  • He shall be experienced in operating both straight line and wireline rigs. However, straight line drilling experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience of minimum 5 years in drilling sector is must. Experience in Geotechnical drilling is preferrable over experience in the mining sector.
  • Preferred Qualification : Minimum high school.
  • Shall be fit and healthy with age not more than 45 years.
  • GCC experience preferred.
