Job descriptionSkills Shall have the basic sense towards Health, Safety, Environmental and Cultural obligations. Any additional tasks handed to him based on his capability shall be entertained. He shall have full knowledge of collecting, managing and handling samples including Core, SPT, Bulk and UDS. He shall be experienced in operating both straight line and wireline rigs. However, straight line drilling experience is preferred. Prior experience of minimum 5 years in drilling sector is must. Experience in Geotechnical drilling is preferrable over experience in the mining sector. Preferred Qualification : Minimum high school. Shall be fit and healthy with age not more than 45 years. GCC experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in task briefing and Toolbox Talk
- Inspect equipment, tick off check list and notify supervisor / Geologist about any malfunctioning
- Performing maintenance and repairs and cleaning drilling equipment
- Mobilize equipment and drilling accessories, Set up rig, safety arrangement and carryout drilling operation
- Performing SPT and core sampling, arranging in core boxes, labelling of samples and delivery to yard
- Photography of SPT samples
- Ensuring that samples are collected as per scope of work specification and maintaining the quality
- Ground water level monitoring and recording
- Backfilling of BH upon completion
- Preparing Daily Drilling report and sharing with supervisor / geologist
