Overview
At ATHEER Connectivity we are developing cutting-edge mmWave wireless solutions delivering fiber-like wireless for ISPs and enterprises. We are expanding and are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on the design development and testing of wireless enclosures, heat dissipation systems and mechanical structures for our networking hardware. If you are passionate about mechanical design, thermal management and precision engineering, this is an exciting opportunity to work on next-generation telecom hardware. Responsibilities
Product Design & Mechanical Engineering Design and develop mechanical enclosures, casings and mounting structures for wireless hardware. Ensure ruggedized and weatherproof designs suitable for outdoor deployments. Work on heat dissipation and thermal management solutions for high-performance networking equipment. Design custom brackets, antenna mounts and structural components for telecom installations.
Prototyping & Testing Develop 3D CAD models and mechanical drawings using Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks or similar tools. Conduct thermal analysis, structural simulations and durability testing. Work with manufacturing partners, 3D printing and CNC fabrication for prototyping. Optimize designs for mass production and cost efficiency.
Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with RF engineers, PCB designers and product teams to ensure design feasibility. Maintain detailed documentation for designs, specifications and test results. Conduct failure analysis and continuous improvements for deployed systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in telecom, electronics, or IoT hardware. Strong proficiency in CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent). Experience in thermal management, heat sinks and cooling solutions. Knowledge of sheet metal design, injection molding and machining processes. Familiarity with IP-rated enclosures, ruggedized designs and material selection. Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and handle multiple projects. Benefits
