Overview

Job Title : Mechanical Engineer Lead Job Description As a Project Leader Engineering you have the opportunity to work on interesting international sorting systems. You translate a sales system design into an operational system and guide projects from start to finish. From Sales to Golive As Project Leader Engineering you are responsible for leading multidisciplinary projects. You drive the project to achieve defined goals in terms of time, quality, cost and functionality from mechanical, electrical and controls perspectives. You identify and capitalize on synergies between multiple projects running in parallel to learn from others. After the handover from sales to engineering, customer requirements and the implemented solutions are explained to start the engineering phase. In the definition phase, you work with lead engineers in close contact with the customer and project management to agree on system functionalities. You develop a plan of approach considering project planning, required resources, supply chain, onsite installation and commissioning. When there is mutual agreement on the defined system design, the detail phase begins. Your team creates specifications to start up production and procurement and coordinates with internal supply chain and third-party suppliers to secure quality, planning, logistics and costs. You oversee system emulations to validate the control design and prepare site installation and commissioning. When the customer building is ready, you oversee on-site installation, guide controls engineers through commissioning and testing, perform acceptance tests with the customer, and participate in golive celebrations. Continuously identify and mitigate project risks. Develop and optimize the skills of the project team members. Stay up-to-date on the latest equipment and process developments; contribute ideas for better working methods and process improvements. Lead your own projects with a decisive, pragmatic and enthusiastic approach. Collaborate with sales, engineering and project management to ensure successful project execution. Your profile Knowledge of Mechanics, Electronics, Controls or Mechatronics. Bachelors or masters degree in a technical subject Several years of experience as project leader or lead engineer in technical environments. Good spoken and written English is required; Arabic is preferred. Willing to travel internationally. Key Skills
