The
Senior Procurement & Planning Officer
is responsible for managing the procurement and
supply chain of materials and equipment for solar , power, and renewable energy projects. The role ensures timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services, both locally within KSA and internationally, while maintaining compliance with ISO, QMS, and SASO standards. The position plays a vital role in aligning purchasing strategies with project requirements, supplier performance, and overall corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities
Supplier Identification & Qualification Identify and qualify new suppliers locally in
KSA
and internationally in coordination with operations, engineering, and quality teams. Register and maintain approved vendor records in
SAP . Establish strong supplier relationships within the
solar , power, and renewable energy industry. Procurement & Negotiations Lead supplier negotiations to secure best pricing, favorable trade terms, and timely delivery. Periodically review and renew supplier contracts, agreements, and pricelists. Recommend and execute frame agreements in line with corporate strategy. Analyze and evaluate supplier bids to ensure technical and commercial compliance. Support proposal and bidding teams with updated supplier pricing, market data, and standard cost benchmarks. Stay updated on
local and international market trends
for solar and power equipment. Purchase Order & Planning Review purchase requisitions, initiate
Purchase Orders (POs)
in SAP, and ensure proper documentation flow. Track procurement activities in SAP (acknowledgment, readiness, shipment, customs clearance, and delivery). Plan procurement timelines to align with project schedules, site requirements, and cash flow forecasts. Logistics & Customs Coordination Collaborate with logistics teams to manage import / export shipments. Ensure compliance with
KSA customs requirements
and coordinate international shipments from suppliers. Monitor goods readiness and track delivery status to sites or warehouses. Review and reconcile supplier statements of account against SAP records on a monthly basis. Schedule payments in line with
project cash flows and contractual obligations . Ensure all advances are settled prior to project closure. Compliance & Continuous Improvement Ensure procurement activities align with
corporate policies, ISO / QMS frameworks, and SASO standards . Support audits and maintain accurate procurement documentation. Recommend process improvements for efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance enhancement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration, Supply Chain, Management, Engineering , or related field. Minimum
4–5 years of progressive experience
in
Procurement & Materials Management
with exposure to solar, power, or renewable energy projects. Preferred Knowledge & Experience
Proven experience in
procurement of solar PV modules, Solar Panel, cables, mounting structures, and related renewable energy equipment . Strong knowledge of both
KSA local suppliers
and
international renewable energy supply chains . Hands-on experience with
SAP
or similar ERP systems. Excellent
communication, negotiation, and vendor management
skills. Strong
planning, analytical, and problem-solving
abilities. Ability to manage
multi-country procurement processes
under strict deadlines. Proficient in
MS Office and SAP systems . Fluency in
English
(written and spoken),
Arabic
will be advantage. Results-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working in fast-paced project environments. Seniority level
